I think there's some overthinking going on here... To say the least if he never pursued music he would've never met Pearline. So I don't think he regrets going as much as he recognizes it's part of what made him the man he was that day. I also think the fact he named the club after her shows he did move on from her while never forgetting what they had as someone who couldn't move on wouldn't be able to play in a club that reminds them of the person they lost. I'm not going to try to explain what I think the scene expressed regarding the deeper aspects as I recognized the message regarding music more than the character development, but I just don't think the article writer is really on point with the stuff they tried to explain.

This is meant to be a reply to Bruce, but based on how fast things are progressing it doesn't even seem like they're going to need to have a season 3 with how fast they're progressing, which yes I already know they've already planned it to last 2 seasons

This is the exact reason I stopped watching trailers after M3gan ruined the dance scene by showing it in EVERY single trailer... Like they knew it was the one thing that was the funniest part of the movie so they tried to use it to appeal to audiences, which ruined what would've been a funny & entertaining surprise.
