Sadly they’ve backed themself into a corner if it can’t be a TS variant, and in their words has to be RDJ playing Doom.

Meaning few theories work, and sadly won’t be some brilliant unthought of storyline. It’s likely to be something the beyonder or living tribunal do to create doom as RDJ, and then he’ll be mad and try attack the beyonder and steal powers.

Just don’t expect any Nolan style twists in this it’s going to be a wack explanation, MCU after all.

Yeah no, we don’t want that. I don’t think Reeves will do that either, maybe the third film assuming it gets made, but he wants to do / we want to see a lesser known villain, or somebody not given the live action adaptation they deserve on screen

Spot on. Put very well. Sadly the truth no one wants to really accept is that it’s going to bomb. We are all still going to watch it, but with Reeves doing a grounded Batman DC universe, he doesn’t have a lot of room to copy that.

Im ITK ever so slightly on Supergirl, not superman, and sadly I think that’s definitely going to bomb, as it’s about her being an alcoholic and jumping from planet to planet drinking with aliens, no clue why. Think that Gunn’s GOTG style is good for smaller scale characters, but Superman and what appears to be a buildup to maybe a Justice League film whilst being lighthearted on screen is not going to suit the tone we are all hoping for.

If test screenings think it’s as bad as it ends up being, it’s just a waste of money.
