Tony Todd's emotional scene in Final Destination: Bloodlines feels like a goodbye to his fans.
Tony Todd's last film is Final Destination: Bloodlines, and his appearance was absolutely devastating for his fans. Not only was it very clear he was sick by looking at how skinny he was, the words he spoke came off as a goodbye. Apparently his speech was improv, which does not surprise me at all, as he truly seems to be saying that he knows he is dying and has made his peace with it. He says he is going to spend time with family and live his life to the fullest until he es. I am glad that he was able to leave a message for those that loved his work so dearly.
Apple TV+'s Muderbot deserves a season 2, so don't sleep on this great Sci-Fi series.
Apple TV+ is well known for its high-quality series and films. I always say that it values quality over quantity, although they are starting to have a large collection of great content. One of their new shows, Murderbot, is based on a series of books by the same name, and it is fantastic. Not only does it boast an incredible cast that does a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life, it tells an intriguing and exciting story about a robot who manages to break free from the government's control. There are more stories to explore from the books, so please do not sleep on this series and ensure that it gets the season two it deserves.
Is Final Destination: Bloodlines the best Final Destination movie?
Final Destination: Bloodlines has brought the franchise back to life with rave reviews from both critics and audiences. While I absolutely love this movie, it is hard for me to say that it is the best of them for one reason - the first Final Destination was so unique and exciting when it was released. I think that the opening sequence for Final Destination: Bloodlines is the best one, and all of the deaths are at the top of the ranking, no doubt about it, but the first one will always hold a special place in my heart. It is similar to how I think the first Scream will always be the best because it was the introduction for what is to come.
Is the Lilo & Stitch initial Rotten Tomatoes score surprising?
Lilo & Stitch (2025) has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 73% after 44 reviews. This is a little bit surprising considering how well-loved the animated version is, and how good Stitch has looked in the trailers and promotions by Disney. That said, the live-action remakes tend to struggle a lot, with Disney never really finding the perfect balance between shot-for-shot recreations and new or adjusted scenes.
Did the Zootopia 2 teaser just reveal a creepy hooded villain?
Zootopia 2 has released its first teaser trailer and although there is no dialogue at all, it still has fans hyped for the movie. The teaser allows the lemmings to show off their musical skills as they play a tune on the keyboard over several scenes from the movie (we assume), and flashes of returning and new characters. In one scene, Gary the snake, Nick Wilde, and Judy Hopps cower away from a hooded figure. While I assumed Ke Huy Quan's Gary was going to be the main villain, perhaps it is this mysterious hooded character. Only time will tell, but I think Disney Animation might have just revealed something to us.
How can the IT: Welcome To Derry teaser trailer be that terrifying and barely show Pennywise?
HBO Max's IT: Welcome To Derry has released its first trailer, and although we barely see Pennywise in it, it is still absolutely terrifying. Now, to be honest, I have an irrational fear of clowns because I watched IT when I was far too young. So anything surrounding that story is going to get to me. This is an effective trailer that gives viewers just enough to have them cowering behind their hands, but not enough to scare them out of their skin. The laughing and the silhouette at the end got me though, not going to lie.
Which The Last Of Us porch scene is the best: the game version or the live-action version?
The Last Of Us season 2, episode 6 features the emotional porch scene, in which Joel and Ellie have a heart-to-heart conversation about forgiveness and the events surrounding the Fireflies. While it differs slightly from the conversation that is had in The Last Of Us Part II (mostly because Ellie learns the truth from Joel), it has a similar impact on the story. I love them both for different reasons, but honestly, the series version is my favorite. It could just be recency bias, as I have not played the game through since 2020, but also Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey give so much of themselves at that moment that it is impossible not to turn into a sobbing mess while watching - especially as a parent.
Will it matter that Captain Gantu is not in the live-action Lilo & Stitch?
It has been confirmed that Captain Gantu is not in the live-action Lilo & Stitch. While he is not a major part of the original animated film, he does serve as the main villain who sends Pleakley and Jumba after Stitch. I cannot imagine that Disney made this decision lightly, so hopefully it does not mess with the plot or flow of the film too much. I imagine they just give a little more to do to either Pleakley or Jumba (likely Jumba). Initial reactions by those who have seen the film alredy are mostly positive, so I am not too concerned.
Did Joel do the right thing about Eugene in The Last Of Us season 2 episode 6?
We finally learned the details surrounding Eugene's death in The Last Of Us season 2 episode 6. This was a far more important part of Ellie and Joel's story than I imagined it would be, as it further drove a wedge between them and let Ellie know definitively that Joel had lied to her about what happened to the Fireflies. While I can understand why Ellie was so upset, I think that Joel absolutely made the right call. If Eugene turned more rapidly than expected, not only would that jeopardize Gail's life, but it could have put all of Jackson at risk. It was a tough call, but the correct one.
Why did they kill off THAT character in Final Destination: Bloodlines?
Final Destination: Bloodlines is easily one of the best in the franchise, if not the best. The deaths are all over-the-top and ridiculous, as they should be, but one of them really bothered me. SPOILER AHEAD: Death comes for Erik, but when he survives it is discovered that he is actually not related to the side of the family that death is after. His mother had an affair, so that should put him in the clear. Later on, he is killed (in one of the best death scenes ever, let's be honest here) under the guise that when you F with death, things get messy. He was trying to help his half-brother cheat death and apparently death did not like that. Erik is my favorite character in Bloodlines, hands down, so while I understand the reasoning, I really wish they did not kill him off. It wasn't completely necessary, and it made me sad.
Is Hurry Up Tomorrow worth seeing in theaters?
If you are a major fan of The Weeknd and his music, I have a feeling you will really enjoy Hurry Up Tomorrow. If you are coming to this movie for Jenna Ortega and/or Barry Keoghan, but do not really know Abel's music, it might not be for you. This movie is essentially a long music video, with multiple songs, limited dialogue, and trippy visuals. It is quite confusing and takes a lot of thinking to even understand a little bit. That said, if The Weeknd is one of your favorite artists, seeing this in theaters is a must.
Should The Devil's Plan bring in more American actors if there is a season 3?
The Devil's Plan season 2 had me hooked from the start. I love the changes that it has made, and I especially like that Justin Min is playing this season. However, I also instantly felt bad for him. Because he is the only American actor on the series, he was having a hard time communicating with some of the other players. A lot of them speak great English, but he has itted to having a hard time with Korean. I wish that there was at least one other Asian American playing along with him. If they choose to welcome in more players like this in the future, I hope they have several of them to make it fair.
What is the best death in Final Destination: Bloodlines?
Final Destination: Bloodlines is now playing in theaters. It is easily one of the best of the franchise, delivering on expanded lore and a whole lot of unique, entertaining, and bloody deaths. One thing that this franchise is known for is killing off its main characters in unexpected ways, and there is a lot of that this time around. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the MRI scene. I feel like most people will pick this one because it is just so crazy to watch unfold. There is a lot happening in the scene, and a double death is always a good time in a Final Destination movie. Although I love the characters, and was sad to see them go, this is at the top of my list, followed closely by the final death(s) solely because of the callback moment.
Jordan Peele's horror movies ranked - which film is his best?
Jordan Peele is a brilliant writer and director. While he knows what he is doing with a lot of genres, I personally love his horror films. Ranking Jordan Peele's horror films, for me, I say Get Out, Nope, and finally, Us. Get Out was an incredible first horror film for him. He came out swinging, and it remains one of my favorite psychological thrillers to this day. Unfortunately, I felt quite a dip with Us, and had several issues with it. Then Nope came around, which I adored. I love the vibe and the aesthetic of that one. Can't wait to see what he does next.
Is Taylor Swift going to announce a new album at the AMAs?
As a long-time Swiftie, I would lose that title if I was not clowning at all times for the next Taylor Swift album, for Reputation (Taylor's Version), and for Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version). The singer is well known for dropping Easter eggs to hint to her fans that something is coming, and this seems to be in overdrive ahead of the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs). The AMAs are set to take place on May 26, 2025. Not only did she rearrange the merchandise store on her website to spell out AMAS (Apparel, Music, Accessories, Sale) the sale featured 12 items (her next album will be her 12th) on sale for 26%. This makes me think that TS12 will be announced during the awards show. Of course, I also wouldn't be upset if it was Reputation (Taylor's Version) that she announces... One thing is for sure, I will be putting on my clown makeup on May 26.
With that Andor Season 2 ending, could there be more to the story?
Andor season 2 has come to an end, and with it leading directly into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we know this is the last we will likely see of Diego Luna's Cassian Andor. That said, there is a pretty big reveal at the end of the last episode, showing that he is not the last of his bloodline. Bix is shown holding a child that we can only assume is his. Honestly, my jaw dropped to the floor and I thought to myself, ok we need more, and we need it now. I must know what the future holds for Bix and Cassian's baby. Will that ever be revealed or is it simply a little way to show that he lives on? Who knows? But I would love for it to mean there is more to the story.
Bring Her Back debuts with 96% on Rotten Tomatoes: Did the Philippou brothers do it again?
Danny and Michael Philippou's first feature film, Talk To Me, is one of the scariest movies that I have ever seen. It is dark and twisted, and I loved every second of it. It currently sits at a 94% critic score and an 83% audience score. The embargo for their second movie, Bring Her Back, has lifted, and it debuted with an impressive 96%. Have they done it again? It sure seems like it. They have a knack for exploring grief and trauma in their horrors. I truly cannot wait to see what they do next.
I don't think I am emotionally prepared for Pedro Pascal's return to The Last Of Us.
We all know that Pedro Pascal is returning as Joel in The Last Of Us season 2, episode 6. Even though this will be a flashback, I truly do not think I am emotionally prepared for it. Having played the game, I am certain that I know what sequences and conversations are going to play out and each and every one of them is going to hit me right in the feels. As a parent, this one is going to be extra rough. Obviously, I am looking forward to seeing him again, but I am absolutely going to have tissues handy.
Patrick Schwarzenegger would have been the perfect choice for this Christian Bale remake, right?
Don't get me wrong, I love Austin Butler and I think he will do a great job as Patrick Bateman in the American Psycho remake, but Patrick Schwarzenegger was right there. After seeing him in The White Lotus season 3, I have no doubt in my mind that he would have been the perfect choice. His character, Saxon, is already very similar to Bateman, and he nailed that role. I would have loved to see him take on this iconic role in the Christian Bale remake. Oh well.
Sydney Sweeney's new movie looks crazy, and I am so here for it.
Sydney Sweeney is starring in Americana alongside Paul Walter Ho and Halsey. The official trailer was released by Lionsgate today and this film looks absolutely crazy. Essentially there are a whole lot of people fighting each other to take possession of an artifact that they want to sell on the black market. No one is holding back, with everyone clearly winning to kill for the prize. This is going to be a bloodbath of fun, and I cannot wait to see it on the big screen.
