Ben Stiller has said there won't be as much of a delay between season 2-3 as there was between 1-2. Let's hope this proves be the case...
This Tuvok Moment In Star Trek: Voyager Always Brings A Tear To My Eye
Daniel-Bibby I meant distain for a Vulcan -LoL. You're right, but I did feel a bit of judgement from Tuvok when Neelix was in the bubble bath. Great scene and a fantastic journey their characters growing together shared. Tim Russ has been so phenomenal in ing Star Trek, going so far as creating his 'fan' series Renegades -I need to watch that again.
Data’s 15 Best Star Trek Episodes & Movies, Ranked
I have such appreciation for almost every cast member in Star Trek as well as writers, directors, make-up artists, anyone who has helped create this world we all love. I have boundless gratitude for cast who continue to give more to the franchise, podcasts such as the Delta Flyers and the De-Con Chamber, appearances at conventions, and of course returns/cameos in future episodes.
Naturally it disappoints me when actors turn their backs and deem themselves 'too good for Star Trek' but that doesn't diminish their contribution from their previous roles. I'm so very thankful for such phenomenal characters and those who bring them to life, and can honestly say there's never been any Trek I hated, not a show, not a character (Discovery Klingons are probably the closest anything has ever come). There's certainly been Trek I feel is subpar but that's just my opinion and we all know the sayings about those.
I'll give any and all Trek a chance, I watch everything, entirely, at LEAST once. I'm eternally grateful for the joy of being introduced to almost every character (except Kai Winn Adami -LoL) and the journey of their development, from even the smallest almost insignificant parts to the great main characters we all get to know and love.
An Ode to Trek... 🖖🏻
Thank you for all of it. The only way to get more Trek is to appreciate the Trek we already have. To keep an open mind and give new series/movies a chance and of course to continue to watch past trek -again.... and again, and again. Thank you to all my fellow Trekers/Trekkies, and thank you to Screen Rant for offering insight and opinions that may not have occurred to me otherwise, and thank you to everyone who contributes comments and their points of view to ponder. There's space for all of it. We're a tremendously far reaching family with boundless individual perspectives to share. And that, is what makes Star Trek a beautiful, wonderful gift.

Section 31 Was A Surprise Hit After All, And I Hope It’s Good News For Star Trek Streaming Movies
I quite liked the movie as well. While I felt it certainly strayed from being 'true Trek' I thought it was a decent movie and loved Michelle Yeoh as well as other cast. I didn't like it the first time I watched it but since I had nodded off several times due to medication I gave it another shot and was pleasantly surprised. Like I said I didn't really find it 'Treky' enough but I also don't force my narrative of what 'Trek' is as I'm just one fan, my opinion isn't that important. I give all Trek a chance and try to find more positives than negatives. Nothing is going to be another TNG or DS9, even VOY or ENT but it doesn't mean it doesn't have value. If they make more Trek I'll watch it, simple as that. If it's terrible I'll only watch it once but out of service to a franchise that has brought me so much joy I'll always give it a shot.
A Strange New Worlds Crossover With Scott Bakula’s Enterprise Captain Is Possible
Poor Porthos 😢
Why Patrick Stewart Hated Picard’s Pet Lionfish In Star Trek: The Next Generation
LoL I was about to say the same thing as it always helped me by writing it off as such. Lister had robot pet gold fish in Red Dwarf (Cat broke his tooth on one in Future Echoes) so I also thought that was a possibility but a hologram seemed more likely.
I Still Think Riker Behaved Unprofessionally When Star Trek: TNG Replaced Captain Picard
I think Ronny Cox played Jellico perfectly, it can't be easy to play a character that is written to be so utterly unlikable. I think part of Rikers outright disobedience was the emotion of wanting to stay 'faithful' to Picard as well as his understandable disdain for Jellico's command style. I also agree with Tremayne's comment that it would not have looked great should Jellico had put Riker up for court martial for several reasons, all of which were explained very well. Thankfully Jellico didn't last as I certainly couldn't have handled him being as Picard's permanent replacement. I found Shelby in Best of Both Worlds quite unlikable as well. Whether both of these characters were used to highlight our love of Picard and Riker I can't say but it certainly served to prove that point.
Star Trek Kills Off 2 Legacy Characters From DS9 & Voyager: Their Deaths Explained
Absolutely agree with Joyce. Lower Decks is a joy, and ode to many fans with all they have contributed. As a fan I watch ALL Trek, regardless of whether I love it or not, every trek has something to add to the saga and personally I think Lower Decks has added a trove. It's sad you can't appreciate it as you are missing many homages to past trek. Every show has its missteps but to write it off completely as you have I think is a very single minded view of what makes good Trek.
Star Trek Kills Off 2 Legacy Characters From DS9 & Voyager: Their Deaths Explained
I can't imagine why anyone would dislike Lower Decks. I think it's been absolutely the best Trek out of all the latest shows. I'm hoping they realise what a mistake they've made and bring it back. Given it's animated not only can they pick up from where they left off but I'd imagine the production costs would surely be less than that of a live action show. I haven't watched the final season yet as I was saving it to binge all at once but I'll be very sad when I get to the last episode 💔
Star Trek Kills Off 2 Legacy Characters From DS9 & Voyager: Their Deaths Explained
I'm hoping they will resurrect Lower Decks for many of the reasons you stated. It's not at the mercy of the age of time, being animated and that has also allowed for one of its best qualities, bringing back characters from previous trek, regardless of how old they may now be. I had high hopes for Lower Decks and fortunately it was one of those rare instances where my hopes were not only realized but exceeded. I think it's a great disservice to fans that it has been cancelled and I cannot think of a feasible reason why they have. Utter waste to throw this fantastic show away.
Star Trek: Picard Season 1 Will Regret This Tragic Character Death If Legacy Ever Happens
100% agree, and I don't think it would be challenging for a half decent writer to do service for returning characters. They already have the love of fans and a strong character arc so why does it seem so difficult for writers to do them service so much of the time. It's not like they need to bring back every single previous character, together, or give them extensive ongoing roles but it's clear fans have a love for characters returning. I think Lower Decks has done a fantastic job with cameos of returning cast, I've loved every one. I'm devastated Lower Decks has gotten the chop, it seems such a waste. I can't imagine it's an incredibly expensive show to manufacturer and it has a HUGE fan base. That would have been incredible to have featured in it, Q's son reviving Icheb to make things right. Hopefully they will resurrect Lower Decks, being animated the age of time is forgiving so they can simply pick up where they left off. But, it seems they've been too focused on prequels and rewriting/reworking 'canon' rather than move the series forward in any meaningful way to their older fans, and I think unless they stop and actually listen to what the fans want this will be the downfall for the current wave of Trek.
Star Trek: Voyager Is Just 1 Character Away From A Full Crew Reunion Like TNG
It's funny how incredibly different she looks without her forehead ridges -season 1 episode 13 'Faces'. Although she is absolutely stunning it feels like something is missing. Crazy how you can get so used to someone in a prosthetic they look almost unnatural without it. I feel this way to an extent with Michael Dorn but less so. Thank goodness the Discovery Klingons are gone, while I'm not anti Discovery they really screwed up with that idea... Really would have been interesting if Bryan Fuller has his way with Discovery. Anyway, back to the point, yes Roxann Dawson is a total babe

Star Trek Explains Why It Uses 'Quadrants' Despite the Universe Being Infinite
This fails HARD! There's not even a need to explain why (although many understandably have) because anyone who has actually watched any Star Trek knows exactly why. I can't believe this was written, approved, and hasn't been taken down. Do better -and maybe actually watch the show.
This Tuvok Moment In Star Trek: Voyager Always Brings A Tear To My Eye
I felt there were a lot of parallels between Neelix & Tuvok's and Quark & Odo's relationships although not too much to make it feel repeated. Obviously Quark is far more nefarious than Neelix he is certainly far from perfect and there's certainly a few times (we know of) he's crossed the line and would likely have been punished in the alpha quadrant. I do love when Neelix is first brought aboard, Tuvok was quite literally dripping with distain. They made a great duo to watch, as did Quark & Odo.
How Seven Of Nine's Funniest Star Trek: Voyager Line Became A Meme
I have Voyager to thank for completely pulling me in to Star Trek, I'd watched some of the 'Original series/cast' movies and definitely liked it but Voyager started my obsession. While not my 'favourite' Star Trek it is up there -I don't even think I can claim a 'favourite' when it comes to Trek, I value every series and most... maybe some, movies for contributing. Voyager was great though, FANTASTIC female characters that Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine made a wonderful addition to. Initially worried she was there purely for aesthetic fun (she is/was absolutely stunning of course) but her character and the portrayal of it were an absolute revelation. Her ability to deliver hilarious one line 'jokes' in her almost monotone seriousness was probably my most treasured of her abilities, something I think Jolene Blalock tried to do with T'Pol but didn't come close to the natural talent Jeri demonstrated. Between Janeway, Torres, and Seven there was a perfect balance of female characters that were a delight to watch. I was never a huge fan of Kes, she had a strong character arc but something just never quite clicked for me the way the other three did. Seven was an epic character to grow and Jeri did a stellar job of taking the viewer along for the entire ride. Her interactions with Naomi (subunit of Ensign Samantha Wildman) were always brilliant and of course her relationship with the Dr always manifested entertaining developments to watch. It was really great to see her back in Picard, proof that there's both more in Seven's character arc and of course plenty more Jeri can do with it. Now get the cheese to sickbay
Recasting Star Trek: DS9 For A Movie Reboot
I agree. While I am a fan of many of the actors listed I feel it would be setting them up for failure. I'd love to see more DS9 and would no doubt watch if a reboot happened there would be a torturous ongoing comparison between each character, for me moreso than any other Trek series.
