These movies make perfect sense to people born before 2000 or have actually watched movies made before then. They don't make sense to you because you have no respect for history or classic movies. Actually do some research and watch the kind of movies they are parodies of before you render an uneducated opinion. Just because a movie was made 40 or 50 years ago and was limited to the technology of the time does not make it a bad movie or "dated". It's sad that today's generation can't look beyond their own limited experience to enjoy the quality of the past. I pity you.

Stop trying to remake good movies!! There's a reason they are classics. Because they were nade very well and people love them as is. No one is going to do a better job! People keep saying they need to be modernized or better effects. NO THEY DON'T!!!

Case In point, the original Clash of the Titans had the old stop-motion animation by Ray Harryhausen. Sure they're choppy and dated, but that is part of the charm that made the movie a classic, the stellar cast, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Dame Maggie Smith, Burgess Meredith, Ursala Andress, and, oh yeah, Harry Hamlin, not withstanding. The remake they made had better SFX, but the movie flopped mainly because it was made badly with a bad script and uninspired performances. No one watches it now. Same with a classic like It's a Wonderful Life. They remade it in the 70s with Marlo Thomas. No one re that. Like anyone is going to do a better job than Frank Capra and Jimmy Stewart. Remakes of beloved movies are never any good. Remake a bad movie nobody liked.

And don't even think you can do a better job than Office Space or Dark City!

Here's an idea... Instead of putting a "fun, new twist" on something that's already great, come up with a fun, new IDEA!! Be original. Don't butcher good things just because you're incapable of doing your own original creations for your own generation instead of trying to steal the voice and creativity of another.
