I don't think the author of this article has read the books... they are not confusing. There doesn't need to be any "fixing" (aka jamming awkward explanations that Lewis didn't write into it). The entire purpose of magic is suspension of disbelief, most fantasy gives a couple of ground rules and leaves it at that,as does Narnia
