I want this show - The Clone Wars was amazing in showing the dynamics of the friendships and bonds forged during the entirety of that show!!! Get Dave Filoni onboard please.

Star Wars started with diversity - all over the place, aliens much?. It was not about here, it has never been about our history. Adding more people of different races, no big deal, the galaxy is a huge place. And yes, it is about quotas, Hollywood has made sure of that. I would it rather be about excellence and if the right actor fits the role then that is who should get it. Just ask Morgan Freeman. Not about color.

Christian, since when was Star Wars ever influenced by Star Trek - the stories are absolutely nothing alike. We are not talking about a universe that was inspired by our earth and changes that happened here. Hence the reason it is so beloved because it is a journey to another place and time and has nothing to do with our history whatsoever.

I don't need to post anything now except my opinon: Dave Filoni would be the best choice - he kept to the heart of the story and yes it is the epic story between good and evil - on a huge scale in another galaxy from long long ago and far away - meaning it is NOT HERE! Injecting the thought police into Star Wars is a very sad thing.
