Ash had no chemistry with Serena whatsoever. And he wasn't "mature" in Kalos, he was empty, stale, and a Gary Stu. And how did Ash "have the best team ever made" when it was mostly filled with jobbers, and the strongest of the team had terrible movesets? He was set up to lose the Kalos League from Day 1.
And Paul was handled poorly. A real Jerk Stu Karma Houdini.
