The author of this is completely out of touch here. The end game of MH is vast even before the expansions.

To name but a few activities:

Collect all of the armor sets (Even better now with layered armors)Collect all of the weapons of your chosen weapon typeTry challenge buildsTry to improve your buildExperiment with new buildsFarm decorationsLearn a new weapon.Event questsTitle update monsters

And, of course, you know... hunt monsters. MH is about mastering the monster. High rank, Master rank, it doesn't make a difference, mh is about training yourself to hunt the biggest and the baddest.
