I re-read chapter 8 a couple of times during covid. A very well written chapter about how viruses work.

Stephen King's Anthology First Fixes The Biggest Problem With The Stand's Ending, 47 Years Later
The first miniseries is much better than the recent incarnation. I was pleased with the changes that had to be made in the adaptation. It holds up well after 30 years.

I wasn't disappointed with The Stand's ending. I read it twice so it wasn't that bad. The reporter here said King's endings left reader's wanting more. That's how you want your book to end, leave readers wanting more. King tells you what the main characters do after. Anything else would be bloat. It's fine the way it is.
