See AllJaime Lannister vs. Aragorn: Who Would Win The Game Of Thrones & Lord Of The Rings Fight (& What GRRM Thinks)
If George Martin's only reason is plate armor, then the choice is Aragorn. I really like both characters. But Aragorn had no issue cutting down Uruk-hai and their plate armor... and Uruks are much bigger and stronger and faster than normal men. So I'd expect Aragorn, whether it's the movie or novel version, to make slight work of Jaime
Japan Already Decided The 3 Strongest Anime Characters, And Even We Were Surprised By The Results
The problem with a poll is it is based on favorites/popular opinion and requires each person polled to have seen EVERY ANIME EVER. You know the list is total BS when Saitama is above Zeno. Saitama is just raw physical ability. Zeno can blink and make anyone disappear from existence, including not just a universe, but all universes at once, and just restart reality. Pretty sure Zeno should be #1 based on that fact alone.
Forget Goku, DC Believes Superman's Dragon Ball Rival Is the Last Person You'd Expect
To those who read my previous comment know this disclaimer... I'm talking about canon abilities. Not every comic book feat is canon. Many of them are spinoff stories. It's like when you supernerds try to talk about Luke Skywalker being the most powerful force ever, based on the comics. That is called Legends Luke, and is not canon. Same goes for many of the comic book stories about Superman, not canon.

They are mistaking "rival" for "comparison". A rival is someone who has the similar or more power, but the opposite ideals, not the same. Gohan would be Superman's friend. If you're looking for any peace-loving hero's rival in DB... it's ALWAYS Frieza, unequivocally. But I don't think it's fair to compare heroes from other universes to a character from DB because DB characters are too strong, think about it: Superman is not capable of destroying the planet with 1 punch. Frieza, in season 2, before his massive power upgrades in the Super series, is able to destroy the planet with a flick of the wrist. In Super, after Vegeta pummeled him and Frieza is barely able to stand, he still is able to blow the earth up by just pushing his palm down into the ground. Meaning, DB characters are usually fighting and throwing punches and blasts with less than 1% of their strength so that they don't destroy the planet. They get hit through mountains and are unaffected. Superman is constantly fighting and putting most of his power into his punches and isn't at risk of destroying the planet. When he gets knocked through a mountain or building, he generally needs a second or two to gather himself. Also Superman is not a martial artist... he's just stronger than most DC villains and relies on that. Whereas Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza and even Krillin, are life-long fighters who hone their martial arts techniques and likely even Krillin is more than a match for Superman. Don't forget in episode 1 of DBZ, Raditz with a battle power of 1,800 is able to catch a bullet WITH EASE. In DBS, even Krillin has progressed far beyond that, with an estimated battle power of about 50,000 give or take 10,000, by the time the tournament of power rolls around. This is why I believe when talking about Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, 18 and 17, who are in the trillions and up, there is no winning a strength battle for Superman or Saitama. Only the Dr. Doom types have a chance
