That's cute and all but no. The movies had horrible setups and horrible payoffs. Even if she was close to Leia it still makes no sense to take the last name. You don't need a last name to be anybody either. Some of the most iconic figures in both fictional worlds and real life only have one name people them by. Yoda, prince, Shrek, Spock, Goku, Madonna, Rihanna, Zendaya, etc. the list goes on. Rey is undeserving of the Skywalker name. If that wasn't the case we wouldn't be here trying to justify the decision.

You are delusional if you think anything about Rey is key to the future of star wars. How much did Ridley's team pay you to write this fan fiction? Rey and Daisy Ridley are not marketable at all and are reminders of the failure that is the sequel trilogy.
