As much as you clearly get your rocks off over the idea of Batman losing. It is clear you don't actually know much about Batman and have a ing familiarity with his stories at best.

Batman is not automatically prepared to take down virtually anyone, anywhere, under any conditions. That is not how any of his stories work. His story are adapt and overcome stories. He often loses in that first bout and then comes back to win it in the second half. Either by cunning or ingenuity/mcgivering.

Batman gets to beat foes round one sometimes. But that is more with his his detective stories and after a long build up,he has prepared and comes out on top. Or the villian is filler for the main villian of that story.

You might enjoy Batman if you actually read him once in a while. He has openly it this even his best plans for the justice leauge are still a hope and a prayer when facing off against any flash, wonder woman, etc, etc. Batman even thinks Superman let's him win because deep down Clark is a good person. Otherwise he doesn't have a chance against Superman. And that was Bruce iting that.
