True, although I have heard from several other sources (SW Insider, online, Rise of Skywalker itself) which confirm that Palpatine manipulated the force to make Shmi give birth to Anakin without a father, making Palpatine basically Anakin's "father". However there is never any indication where Vader was aware of this.
