I absolutely agree. On its own, it's a very original and thought provoking film with no dialogues whatsoever amongst the animals which drew me in more than Wild Robot which did the opposite. The fact that if Flow wins this Oscar, it can be a watershed moment for a lot of underdogs and animated foreign studios to have hope to compete against the big named studios makes me want this black Cat and Gints to win that much more. So far, it's won the Golden Globe, and best Independent Feature Film over at the Annies plus a slew of other international awards. But to win the coveted Academy Award - what a way for Latvia and Gints to really go for it. Otherwise I also want it to win Best International Film too.
