Okay, you don't have twist my arm, I'll play through the Mass Effect series again.
Japan Already Decided The 3 Strongest Anime Characters, And Even We Were Surprised By The Results
I think this article needs to be re-titled. When you say "anime characters" then it should be talking about characters as they appear in their respective anime. Not how they are at the end of their series in the source (whether that he manga, web novel, light novels, etc.) Most anime fans might read the manga but reading the web/light novels is far more rare so they won't have any idea how a character like Rimuru could even come close to making the ranking at all.
Japan Already Decided The 3 Strongest Anime Characters, And Even We Were Surprised By The Results
Is that the one where he tells someone to die and they just die? Because if so, a lot of anime series have characters that do the same and it comes down to an overwhelming willpower or other power making that ability completely nullified.
One Piece’s Live-Action Is Making A Huge Zoro Mistake That Netflix's Season 2 Must Fix
I think he should be left as is, or well, grown naturally from where he is. The live action is a compressed version of the series. Which means far less screen time for all characters. Adding more humor to his character risks removing the rest of his worth and turning him into just a cheap laugh and nod at what the anime clearly has a ton of time for.
Following Its Disastrous Anime Debut, The Beginning After the End's Creator Is Breaking Their Silence
Feel like I need to rewatch the first 2 episodes now because I feel like I watched a different anime from everyone else with how many people complain about the animation. I've seen way worse. SDS, Konosuba, some moments of those the anime got atrocious to me but felt the animation with this was...generic? Maybe it's more a hype thing. People hyped the series way too much and got let down that it wasn't the biggest animation masterpiece of the century? Will go back and watch to double check my opinion.
30 Years Later, Let's Face It: Digimon Was Never the Pokémon Ripoff Everyone Says It Is
I've never been able to view Digimon and Pokemon as the same thing from different companies. Digimon deals with a lot darker topics and a progressive story, especially with Digimon Adventures. At least in anime form. I'm aware there is certainly very dark parts to Pokemon but it's not really expressed upon in the anime series much.
Pokemon, both in Ash's adventures and in its games is...frankly the same repeated story over and over again. Ash may make new friends and you'll see old ones return but it comes down to him essentially restarting in each region, only bringing along his experience, and repeating the same process as before. The same with each new game. A few new mechanics, sure, but while fun...Pokemon games really do come down to (at a story level) if you've played one, you've played them all.
Focusing back on the anime side again, Digimons story has always changed with each different series for it, and even for the main one (Digimon Adventures) you actually see the characters grow...physically, mentally and emotionally.
Personally, seeing Tai and the others age up to college students over the past 25 years has felt far more fulfilling then watching Ash's journey as an eternal 10 (or was it 11) year old boy. Gives more perspective to the story and doesn't make it feel jarring in that...Ash's entire journey supposedly took place over a single year? I didn't really watch the later stuff so if someone wants to speak up and say Ash's got older in later seasons, even if only by a year or two, please by all means correct me on that.
