See AllHow Sheldon's Replacement Became Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage's Unexpected Breakout Star
There are few likable main characters in this show, and the atmosphere feels strangely stifled and unnatural. The YS character legacy is being eroded as each appearance makes them less sympathetic in retrospect, particularly Annie’s character. Connor seems cliche and an unappealing facsimile of Sheldon’s previous archetype, but without Jim Parsons depth, innocence and appeal.
Overall this show just doesn’t feel right, no matter how much we’d like to like it.

Wow, I Didn't Expect The Conners Season 7 To Bring Back Roseanne To The Center Of Its Storytelling This Way
I enjoyed the Conners a lot, despite Barr’s demise. I think circling back to the circumstances surrounding Roseanne Conner’s death is an unexpected but superior way to wrap up this moment. I really see no reason why another spinoff wouldn’t be possible.

Love this direction!
GMFM hasn’t managed to hold my interest beyond the occasional guest appearances from the YS cast, and even then, those characters’ arcs have made them unsympathetic.
I'm Happy To See Lance Barber's George, But Worry His First Marriage Appearance Makes Georgie's Grief Worse After Young Sheldon
A ‘very special episode’ to prop up the show.
Why is Mary Cooper's character development in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage being criticized, when it only makes sense?
It’s just a scripted tv show.
