I seriously doubt that he is dead. The Pokemon Series is a highly censored anime that many kids watch. Nintendo wouldn't do something like this, although I wish it was true for more dramatic impact.

I read that comic as soon as the movie was announced, saying it would be based on it, and I gotta say that it was a really pleasant experience. I love the drawings, its art, the story, which is very unique, intriguing, and with a very satisfying ending. I can say the same thing about Superman All Star; if you haven't read that one, I totally recommend it as well.

I'm almost certain that they are going to use Lois Lane's Heart, I bet they are going to find out that the cancer treatment didn't work so she will make the ultimate sacrifice and donate her heart to Clark, that way, both will be "together" as one. Sad, but effective ending.
