This Classic 1962 Western Was The Best & Worst Of John Wayne & John Ford's Movie Partnership
Def one of waynes top performances. I wasnt the biggest fan of the movie as a whole though thats more a personal take than an objective one. I never liked it when waynes character either died or in this case, didnt end up with the girl so to speak. The cowboys being the one exception where i felt his death elevated the movie. So while this movie would still rate high on my favorites list because of how good everything else is, its not as high for me as most have it.
I'm Worried Star Trek Is Creating A James T. Kirk Problem In Strange New Worlds Season 3
I think its kind of silly to complain about a prequel which is what this show is , setting up for what is known comes later. True having a 4th season already confirmed should give them some flexability to not jump too fast. And they may not. I would wait til after the season to make judgements of whether they focused on the character too much too soon.
Even After 3 Years, I Still Can't Believe Disney's Luke Skywalker Was Absolutely Schooled By This Non-Jedi Star Wars Character
The mandelorian isnt a jedi, hes a bounty hunter. So kind of pountless to contrast. Sure luke defied yoda by leaving to try to save his friends but he may have decided that was wrong after the fact. It also doesnt mean he cant change his mind later. Also keep in mind that be it jedi or regular god worshipping people, all people will fail to follow their own beliefs for whatever ever reason. Its why in christianity, you have forgiveness to atone for such things because it is inevitable.
The Best Difficulty Setting For Assassin's Creed Shadows Is Not What I Expected
I think playing on hard would be enjoyable for lots of people but not me. I do think normal is a little too easy and absurd at times. I think absurdity is more the issue which they could fix. Like getting noticed on roof tops, it still happens on normal. The only thing is enemies wont climb up after you which is silly. If they did, youd have to fight which should draw out other enemies and prob end your game at that point. Though sometimes you get in long fights and it still doesnt alert a lot of enemies which is absurd. My reason for not going the hard route is this is a long big game if u r like me and try to go everywhere, fight everything. Even just turning it on hard for certain areas would add too much time to the game based on having to move slower or dying more. A smaller game i think making it harder makes sense but not a game one might consider putting over 50 hours in.
I Like Assassin's Creed Shadows Better Than Ghost Of Tsushima In Almost Every Way, Except For One Feature
Well ill give my thoughts. I do agree stealth is better in shadows. But combat in ghosts is far better. Its not even a comparison. The dueling is ghosts is just incredible. Shadows seems like a larger map but its largely unoccupied by people or buildings. Its more realistic, gritty but i prefer the stylized world of ghosts. The AI is horrible in shadows. You can stand right in front of someone looking at you and assasinate them. Might be different on harder mode but shouldnt be that way. I liked in ghosts how enemies would climb up aftee you on roofs, that doesnt seem to happen in shadows. Exploration is comparable. I liked finding the shrines in ghosts, some were really incredible. I like the parts in shadows where you stop n draw certain animals. One thing shadows has that ghosts didnt is the hideout. I love it. I hope ghosts of yotei has something similiar but im not sure it will. Lots of customizable options. Only thing is some things dont work like they should. Like you can build buildings that hold your weapons and armor and outfits. Supposed to function as a way of having different loadouts. Only thing is when i went to put my weapons there, it was only what i had currently equipped. The armor racks wouldnt let me put any armor on them , just a komono dress i had. Kind of weird. I still love the hideout though. Overall ghosts is the far better game in my opinion but shadows is a good game.
After Finally Playing Final Fantasy 6, I'm Convinced Square Enix Is Right About the Remake
I would love for them to do a remake. I never got into the games til ff 10 really though i did play a little of my sons copy of ff9. Im not really interested if they stay with the same visuals or even if they do like the recent dragon quest game, its better but not really much different than original sprites. Having it made in multi installments with superb 3d visuals would have me from day one.
John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara Made 5 Movies Together, But Never Topped Their 1952 Classic With 91% On Rotten Tomatoes
I didnt watch this movie til a few years ago which is wild since im a big wayne fan. But its one of those movies of his that isnt on as much and its not a western or military film. But it is one of his best though i dont put it above many far as my favorites which is a different thing. Im not even sure its the best of these twos pairings. Mcclintock gets a lot of hate as being kind of silly but as an overall movie, its very entertaining and fun to watch. I do wish wayne and ohara had done more together esp as they got older.
John Wayne's Final Western With His Son Patrick Marked A Surprising First For Them Both
They said it was his final movie with his son patrick which it was
MASH Ran For So Long The Showrunners Accidentally Made The Exact Same Episode Twice
Yea i knew they had done the same storyline but i always assumed they did it on purpose. Kind of a revisit since you had bj instead of trapper. I like the first one best.
John Wayne Missed His Best Opportunity To Play Wyatt Earp In This Classic John Ford Western Movie
I fight it interesting that with wayne being a big fan of earp, and me a big fan of wayne, that i dont really care for earp or any of the movies that have portrayed him. I did like the star trek episode that featured the ok corral shootout for what its worth.
John Wayne Wasn't A Fan Of His 1965 Western With Dean Martin
Its a solid movie. I wouldnt say its one of his best but its still entertaining. Far as the age difference. I dont think wayne was playing a 60 year old, prob a 40 year old which wouldnt be a total stretch far as the age gap goes.
Did Astro Bot Deserve GOTY? One Week After TGA, The Answer Is Clear
These comments are hilarious. I didnt care what games won myself, but you just have to chuckle at what people say. Far as my take, astro bot is my game of the year. Though i consider this year a down year. Lot of people mention ff7 rebirth and i like the game but all the mini type games and stuff kind of ruined it for me. The world is kind of bland too though the story is great. I was originally hyped for black myth wukong but when i found out they were going for a souls experience and didnt have difficulty levels, i lost interest. Far as chinese game of the year, id go with stellar blade though its story is iffy. To me astro bot just nailed everything perfectly. Contrary to somes weird opinions, its visuals are great and the effects whether sound or touch with the duelsense controller is awesome. Difficulty is on the easier side for the story part but thats the way it should be. There are plenty of challenging parts with the non story planets. Its a blast to play and replay levels just for the heck of it even when ive done everything in the level. Lots of cool stuff to see too that doesnt have anything to do with getting a reward or something. Personally the bots dont really interest me that much. Just added greatness. Im not big on platformers but they nailed it with this and they have been giving the dlc for free which is a great thing that doesnt happen often in this greedy world.
15 Underrated The Beatles Songs That Deserve Way More Love
Some i dont think are underated, maybe underplayed. Rain was a song i didnt know existed til they remastered all their stuff. Oh darling is def not appreciated enough. For no one is one of their greatest but since its not a rock song perse it doesnt get played enough. Thats the trouble with lots of the bestles best stuff. Its hard to categorize it. Overall a great list as any beatles list is.
"That Damn Piece Of Junk" The Director Of John Wayne's Final Rio Bravo Movie Blamed The Movie's Failure On Its Cast
Well i agree rio lobo was the weakest of the three but its not a terrible movie by itself. Wayne probably was too old by that time to be the big hero but he did a fine job. I think that as big actors like wayne age, its best to change expectations and have appropriate rolls as we as movies that facilitate that best as possible. Eastwood did a good job with that as he aged. Even wayne himself had good rolls that did this. The cowboys, the shootist, and even rooster cogburn to a point did this well. Though as a diehard fan of both actors, i did find movies like the shootist, pale rider, and unforgiven a little disappointing originally for that fact.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered & LEGO Horizon Adventures Prove The Direction PS5 Games Need To Go
I def agree with this. Though ive never been into the lego games and horizon wasnt changing my mind i did get the remastered update. Its def worth it if you have any interest in replaying it or would easily be the best version if u never played it. Its worth it for that because of the included great dlc which doesnt even require you beating the game, its just part of it. Astro bot was a good step too, it def didnt cost lots of money to make. Im just not sure other fans are down with this. Lots of people on games that arent the triple A experience or wait til they are practically free.
I Hope Square Enix Gives This Iconic Dragon Quest Game The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Treatment
I never got to play that one being i didnt have a ds and i never cared for handheld gaming. It would be nice to play a remastered version on my tv. I would prefer they redo 8 myself though if we are talking preferences. 8 is probably in my top 3 games period all time or real close. 11 was good but not having the monsters to find, defeat, and use them in your party was disappointing. So its easily ranked below 8.
MASH's Disowned Spinoff Could Have Resolved Hawkeye And Trapper's Broken Friendship
I think both actors leaving had left some wounds. I do think how the 4th season started was a crappy way to do it if by choice. It would have been nice if they all had got together and agreed to do at least a partial season to wrap things up better and set up maybe some correspondence through the years so they remained friends. Its funny i didnt start watching the show weekly til the later seasons but watched all the older ones on reruns. I prefer the first group because of the humor and goofiness, all my favorite episodes are in the first few years. After trapper left, the show went far more serious which was totally opposite the movie it came from. Though i think thats why it lasted as long as it did, it dealt far deeper with the relationships. If the original cast had stayed, it probably had three more seasons at most in it. But might have made more sense being it was a 3 year conflict in reality.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered's Failure Could Reshape PlayStation's Future
Well from my understanding, the remaster of horizon zero dawn was basically a learning project for the company that oversaw the remaster. I dont think sony was expecting big numbers. I bought the ps5 update for ten dollars, its worth it to me. Hopefully the team that did this has learned some things and can now go onto something more demanding.
MASH's Timeline Became So Broken That The Final Seven Seasons Took Place In Less Than A Year
It difnt matter. If you are watching shows that are meant for entertainment only, timelines and such dont matter. The way i look at it, i would just consider it a soft reboot.
The John Wayne Movie That He Only Starred In Because Robert Mitchum Was Fired
If we are talking together eldorado. Peesonally i dont think mitchum was a great western actor. But on non western stuff i thought he was great. However my mind is blank far as names. There was at least one dark noir film i liked. Far as blood alley, i liked it quite a bit. People always look down on his non western stuff but i thought mostly it was good. Blood alley fits that. It was good, not great, but good.
