See AllWhy Greta Gerwig's Chronicles Of Narnia Movie Reboot Is Starting With The 6th Book
Good take, and I agree: seeing a well done screen adaptation of TMN will be a real treat. But I do hope she decides against the switch of Aslan to a lioness. Only sheer spite would prompt someone to make a move so sure to prompt outrage among the most devoted fans of the series.
5 Episodes Of Star Trek: The Original Series Season 2 You Can Completely Skip
No ing for taste, but I'm really surprised to see Friday's Child on a list like this. It stands out and is well worth seeing for being one of the few episodes to present a "primitive" alien culture that isn't some shallow stereotype. The Capellans know all about the advanced technology of humans and klingons but they don't worship them as gods or try to steal the tech to become gods themselves. Really they're not impressed by it at all, they see these space-faring types as mere visitors & equals. And Kirk & Company treat them as equals too. TOS needed more episodes like this, vs. stumbles like The Omega Glory or The Paradise Syndrome or even A Private Little War.
Before Chekov, Star Trek: The Original Series Had A Different Navigator Who Often Gets Overlooked
Interesting fact that got missed: Riley's appearance in The Conscience of the King was accidental. The role originally involved a completely new character, but when Bruce Hyde won the part, they decided to rename it so he could play Riley again.

10 Harsh Realities Of Watching Disney's Narnia Movies In 2024
#5: True, Peter's struggle with his own ego makes him less likeable -- but much, much more realistic. One nuance Lewis overlooked in the novel was that these were 4 people who had lived 20 years as rulers over Narnia, growing up, learning responsibility, commanding respect... then in an instant they were flung back as ordinary children in the ordinary world. Having to endure all the struggles and bothers of school and teen romance and bullying and the rest of it, when they'd been long past such things. Lewis never gave that a thought in Prince Caspian, but I give lots of credit to the script writers of the movie that they did. Prince Caspian was an excellent and badly underrated adaptation.
“What A Flex”: ’80s Sci-Fi Cult Classic Gets Moderately Positive Review From VFX Artists For One Of The First Major Uses Of CGI
I the buzz at the time (I was 19) that they had rendered all the space scenes on computers. A lot of us I think wanted to see it just for that fact. The results weren't close to anything we'd seen in Star Wars etc. but still, it wasn't *bad*. Someone's gotta be the trailblazer, right? And as you say it opened the door for wider use and incredible advances in the technology.
