See AllWould you like to see a direct sequel to Prometheus?
Absolutely. The Aliens franchise needed some new dimension beyond installments that have a formulaic buildup that devolve into running around corridors and jettisoning things into space. Did I initially love the origin of the xenos detailed in Prometheus and Covenant? Not particularly, but I decided that it lent to thematically creepy insinuations that were compelling the more I thought it over. Beyond that, the Engineers make the Aliens universe FEEL bigger. Are there a bunch of MacGuffins and inconsistencies with the black goo? Sure. But it's science fiction. It can be tempered. Also, with the pathetic state of cinema, I'll take what I can get. The Aliens movies are literally the only thing that have convinced me to buy a ticket in the last seven or eight years.
