See AllDisney Needs To Go Back & Look At These 8 Animated Movies To Find Their Creativity Again
I’ve always thought that Disney was missing out by not making a feature film out of “Tail Spin.” While the after-school animation quality wasn’t the best, the story combined much-loved characters from “the Jungle Book,” a great musical intro, and an exciting 1930’s Pacific pre-war theater. If Disney could update the look to that of more modern animation (like that of “Tangled”) add more music, and incorporate beautiful aviation sequences (akin to Hayao Miyazaki’s “Porco Rosso”) I think Disney could have a real winning combination. Not to mention, great potential to keep “Jungle Book” characters relevant (with potential tie in’s to theme parks: Imagine a Tailspin themed flight simulation).
