As much as I love the original film, I never watched the Stargate TV series - it just didn't interest me. SGU, however, I absolutely adore and hate that it was cancelled without any sort of closure. The show was just such a fascinating exploration of human frailty and strength.

I may be alone in this opinion, but Ghost Stories in its original Japanese is actually interesting and no less "slow" than some of the other mythology-based anime of today. Yeah, the English dub is a classic and will always have a place in my watch list, but so will the Japanese.
