It’s so funny, I had the exact opposite experience with the new movie than this writer did. I think the new version is superior in nearly every way to the original. The love story was better, the dwarves were better, the way she defeated the Queen was better, it was a beautiful film, even the animals were better, it was funnier and more emotional, and it was long enough for real character development. I guess that’s why art is subjective.
