Outstanding writing and acting. The overall story arc has had enough surprises to keep every episode fresh and the characters constantly developing. Now if we just went back to 22 episodes per season it would rate an 11!

This was a ground breaking show that presented a hopeful future in a socially and politically turbulent time. Now, when the world is going backwards as fast as it can paddle, the Trek Universe is a great place to hang out and maintain that spark of hope.

I very much enjoyed this look at the beginnings of Star Fleet and the inevitable conflicts with the Vulcans over the two species natural instincts and cultures. The shows cancelation was unfair- in my opinion. That it was ended without respect for the storyline, the fans and especially the outstanding actors and actresses involved was disgraceful. We have been burned so often that at our house we rarely start a new show anymore. We checkout the pilot and if it looks OK, makes it to a 3rd season and has a renewal, we watch it. There are exceptions but they are rare.

Great! They're canning a fantastic show with a solid audience to resurrect Bay watch. Will Hasselhoff return as someone's father? Based on this preview I have no intention of watching the pilot.
