Adolescence
I have never watched a show that has gripped me as much as this one did. Gut wrenching, and showing different dynamics to normal crime dramas. The cast were phenomenal, the direction and effort to do the episodes in one take, masterful.
If this show, or the cast themselves don't win awards and accolades for this I will be dumbfounded. Bravo.

The Wheel of Time - Season 3
Credit where credit is due. This season so far is packing a punch and is begining to ignite the characters in a way that mirrors their book counterparts. Is it perfect, no, but the thread of the books key plots are there. I just hope they keep their story deviations to a controlled minimum and give non book readers a great experience on how good wheel of time is.
I love Donal as Mat, he is knocking it out of the park!

The Batman
Been sitting on this film for a while but when I got round to watching it I wasn't disappointed. A very very good movie. I wouldn't be opposed to Robert playing the batman again. He doesn't make for a compelling Bruce Wayne, but then I think his character in this adaptation is flawed. As batman however he is gritty, aggressive and more than capable.
Would highly recommend.

Hacksaw Ridge
This film was exceptional. I couldn't get enough of it and to then find out it was based on a real person boggles belief.
This film captivated me from start to finish and I would highly recommend it to you.

The Night Agent
A solid TV show. A bit predictable with the plot but not enough to detract from the flow of the story.

SAS: Rogue Heroes
Words can't describe how good this TV series is. The cast, the writing, the cinematography, the music is top notch.
The story whilst based on true events doesn't hold back and brings a grit to the show that is sadly lacking in other TV shows. A joy to watch and I can't wait for more!!

The Acolyte
What were they thinking. An abhorrent attempt to inject new vision into the Jedi High Order and by default made them all look incompetent. The characters were loathsome, the story was poorly built, with no clear vision or pull. If this is the bench mark for new projects moving forward then this IP is in real trouble.

Too many deviations to retain a sizeable number of book fans, wayward decisions in the story to earn the right be be called WOT. Elevation of minor characters at the expense of stronger characters. Social politicking.
Pick any of them and that's your problem.
The Wheel Of Time Hints Its Going To Flip The Books' Most Annoying Perrin Story
Agree with you. It's not about removing unwanted text, it's about turning that text into a visual. An eerie room with a fire place and a single chair in TAR would take nearly a page of writing but addressed in seconds with a sweeping camera shot.
There's clearly bias surrounding favourite characters and scenes which limits the show landing for me. I liked Egwene, but she wasn't my fav. It feels like she is being elevated more than needed. Show horning in loads of Moiraine to keep the star actress involved derails the show as it leaves Rand isolated and needing to trust in others / strike out on his own. He can't do this in the show.
"Streaming Has Had A Big Problem With Epic Fantasy": Author Brandon Sanderson Weighs In On Fantasy TV, Cites Rings Of Power & Wheel Of Time As Disappointments
So many people throw shade on this opinion shouting "you can't do a 1:1 adaptation". That's not what we asked for. We asked for a faithful adaption with great visuals of book accurate events. I don't even mind the fight at EF or the Black Ajah fight in the sneek peek as they were at least mentioned in the books.
It's when they produce outcomes like the 2 season finales that sours the taste and makes it hard to the showrunners.
Rand should have had both those moments, but they were essentially given to Egwene. Just wrong as shows the lack of respect for the source material.
This could be heavily predicated by Amazon but to me, it smacks of fan fiction.
I will the show if it actually realigns to be faithful to the main beats of each character and tell the story as envisioned by the great man RJ.
The Wheel Of Time's Potential Longevity Beyond Season 3 & Realistic Expectation Addressed By Showrunner: "My Job Is To Do Everything I Can To Get It To The End"
I've been a detractor as I don't agree with the unnecessary changes that were made to the show. I fully understand a need to condense some stories, drop others and merge characters but I don't like the additional content or presentation of characters and back stories that serve no purpose (to date).
That being said if they do start to show book accurate events and get behind the right characters to the correct degree at the right time, then this show has my backing. I want to see a good WOT depiction, particularly as this is the first time it's been converted to the screen. Honour the story, the legacy of the author Robert Jordan, and respect the fans love for this material and you have my .
It Looks Like The Wheel Of Time Is About To Show A Massive Battle The Books Skipped Over
To be fair and play devil's advocate, I don't mind if they express activities and events that were not directly observed as a POV but DID take place and were referenced.
There will be things they will show that we didn't directly see (don't want to add spoilers) but what I will say is, should they choose to adopt this strategy, then they have to minimize their own fan fiction and play it out as it should have (e.g. the wasted time on the stepin storyline which should have been contained to the same episode as Logain).
I liked in the main the two rivers attack. I didn't like the fan fiction that followed.
