It's manufactured outrage by SJWs larping as "fans", they're not interested in Star Wars in any legitimate sense because it's nothing more than a well of things to be continually outraged about.

Sorry but Rose Tico was a terrible character badly written and completely superfluous to the overall terrible plot. Same goes for Rey, their gender and ethnicity is utterly irrelevant.
