See AllFrasier Season 3's Cancelation Doesn't Hurt Frasier Crane, But It Sucks For The Reboot's Niles Replacement
The show may have been acceptable under any other name, but it was a huge mistake to tie it to the original Frasier. The sets and storylines and dialogue were so far beneath the original, it tarnished the original show’s reputation in my opinion to link it to the sequel. The original was urbane and witty and smart, while the sequel was written to entertain 10-year-olds. I can’t believe Kelsey Grammer was collecting such a large paycheck for that cringey mess. He should’ve been paying Paramount for the opportunity to extend his reign as the longest running character on TV. They should have spent more on writers and sets and tried to make a decent show. I don’t understand the point of doing a reboot if you’re not even going to try to make it good.
