I am finishing up my first playthrough of BOTW right now and already have totk to start next. I see zero utility in a remaster as BOTW still holds up extremely well.

The new metal gear solid 3 remake on ps5 engine is worth buying even though the original PS2 version still h old up very well, but the difference in generations, time frames, and graphics is multiple fold that of switch to switch 2. I say BoTW as backwards compatible with higher resolution is great but a remaster? Nah.

As much as I loved oot, botw and totk are simply superior and more modern. Going more towards oot and away from the new titles would be regression and bad for the series. I see the appeal of linearity, but the open worlds rich environments and ability to free roam them is alone better than anything oot had to offer.
