Since supes has shown he has ability to regenerate wounds on his own, much less whatever can be done in the kryptonian stasis pod, I didn't understand why Lex simply stepping on his heart made it unusable-it didn't smash it into pulp. Jon should have brought the squashed heart to the fortress and it probably could have been restored to normal and implanted.
