Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Continuing A Weird Matt Damon Trend Confirms Why He's Perfect For The Role
who’se is playing narrator Homer? in The Odyssey, there is a notable moment of self-reference: the blind bard Demodocus in the court of the Phaeacians. Some scholars see Demodocus as a stand-in for Homer, as he sings epic tales much like Homer himself.
Christopher Nolan's Next Movie Is Already Suring Oppenheimer In 1 Big Way That Didn't Seem Like It Was Possible
It still sounds like Nolan’s script writers haven’t revealed which translation of the Oddesey - Fagles or Wilson- they are using? Or will they get creative and tell the story in a unique way…. For example:that Odysseus is NOT the hero we thought he was? Or what is the story from the point of views of Penelope and Clymestra?
Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey Update Confirms It Will Be Even More Ambitious Than His $974 Million Oscar-Winning Hit
“The new movie will follow the source material” - that’s all you report on the script. The source material is a translation from the Greek of which are four or so significant works! Might you ask Which source material ?
there a four major translations. Do we know that Odysseus introduced Helen to Agermanon’s brother - and the abusive marriage and the piece of that Helen left - which started the war? Does the script ask if Odysseus is a hero if yes, then what kind of hero? And one of Penelope? Is she not a hero as well? If so, what kind? My feeling is if the script doesn’t challenge, it will be disappointing.

DiCaprio is my Odysseus.
Casting Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey Movie: Who Plays Who?
I’ve just started to write my own screen play of the Odyssey. Will use Wilson’s translation. Surprisingly the the issue of fantasy is not as problematic, as I am choosing to make these characters as sympathetic as possible, both in physical appearance and complexity. What I’m struggling with is the war as context for the “return“. In the book, Homer provides several if not four specific instances of actual specific war action. And book 3. and book 4 and book and book 11. It is these glimpses of the terror and drama and tragedy of the Trojan war that gives meaning to Odysseus’s journey. I am struggling if it is enough for the audience that only has limited exposure. Otherwise it’s private. Ryan meets Achilles. My first draft is done.
The Odyssey’s Cast Is Incredible But Is Missing 1 Christopher Nolan Actor Who Would Be Perfect For It
What about the script ? That’s where the real story is!
