See AllThe Apothecary Diaries Is One of Anime's New Hits, But It Almost Made Maomao Very Different
I think the same way. I've already read Chapter 10 of the novel, which is way ahead of the Netflix adaptation. Maomao no longer works in the palace—she’s now on her own. From time to time, Jinshi visits her and asks for her help to solve various cases.
It just doesn’t make sense that a woman would reject a handsome, royal, and noble man simply because she doesn't want to get involved in palace affairs. It's a contradiction, especially considering how terrified Maomao was when she lost her job and had to return to the red-light district where she spent her early life.
I mean, seriously—what could possibly be worse than being a courtesan, compared to marrying Jinshi?
A Subtle Gilmore Girls Season 2 Moment Makes Lorelai's Backstory So Much Sadder
couldn't agree more.
When I watch these series, I often wish that Lorelai could put herself in Emily's shoes. I cannot imagine if my daughters acting like Lorelai. I probably will let them to face the life on their own.
Who can stand disrespectful manner while we just want to our own child ?
A Subtle Gilmore Girls Season 2 Moment Makes Lorelai's Backstory So Much Sadder
to me personally I perceived Lorelai as immature person who awkwardly tried so hard to be funny. She often portrayed her childish behavior in society, which eventually frame herself as dope and incompetent adult image. In one occasion, she and Christopher attended the Yale event, where a professor was giving a presentation whilst Lorelai was busy talking to Chris whom ignored her. Later on, she even would like to make a phone call. She had clearly no respect to others.
I found Emily and Richard more sensible and wise. They always Lorelai and Rory. The relationship amongst them failed due to Lorelai was being rebel and did what she thought could be the best for her. that she's the one who pushing away Christopher not to take care of Rory. It's just shown that Lorelai is impulsive, immature, rebellious, wild, and self-centered.
Don't blame parents for Lorelai struggling raising Rory. She refused parents' help.
