Why Merry & Pippin Didn't Go To The Undying Lands In LOTR Even Though Both Frodo & Sam Did
I had completely forgotten that Gimli went to Valinor with Legolas. For some reason I had it in my mind that Legolas stayed behind and traveled Middle Earth with Gimli and then after Gimli died Legolas built a ship.
NCIS: Origins Has Confirmed My Worst Fears About Mark Harmon's Gibbs' Prequel
I'm not really sure what I was expecting with this series, but it isn't anything like what we got.
I just can't seem to get into this show. It isn't keeping my interest. My mind wanders, and then I end up having to rewind frequently.
I'm also having a difficult time associating the actor in the role of Gibbs with the Gibbs that I'm familiar with from NCIS.
I'll probably finish out the season, but if it's reviewed for a season 2, I won't be tuning in.
I Rewatched Grey's Anatomy, And Derek Shepherd Is Anything But McDreamy - But He And Meredith Deserved Each Other
The nickname McDreamy had nothing to do with his personality or character. It had everything to do with his looks. Patrick Dempsey is very easy on the eyes.
New Lord Of The Rings Movie Reaches Another Box Office Record Low For Peter Jackson's Universe In 2nd Weekend
I saw this movie last Friday. I didn't think it was as bad as some of the reviews made it seem.
Opting for Anime for the animation was a weird choice. I didn't understand the reasoning as to why until I saw some of the credits. Most everyone is Japanese and anime is popular.
I don't like anime because I think it looks cheesy. So it took me a little bit to become accustomed to what I was seeing on screen. At the end when Hera was going off to find Gandalf, the animation looked really cheap and cheesy. It seemed different than the rest of the movie.
However, the amount of work that went into animating hundreds of different figures is not lost on me.
I thought I had read everything by Tolkien, but I have no recollection of the story of Helm Hammerhand outside of what we learned in the LoTR movies. So I can't speak to what is canon and what isn't.
When Helm removed his ring, it got me thinking that maybe he had a ring of power. Doubtful that it was one of the nine, but it could have been one of the numerous lesser Rings that Gandalf had alluded to.
When Saruman appeared and spoke, I got chills because that was the great Christopher Lee's voice.
I enjoyed the story.
I think the reason some people don't like the movie is because of the anime animation. Not everyone likes anime. If you can overlook the anime, it was not a bad movie.
I would rate it 4/5.
