Mixed opinions. Love the show but the writing got so sloppy in the end to the point where it may never make sense no matter what's added to it. I started watching it for the general premise of aliens and the supernatural but I it it's the dynamic between Mulder and Scully that got me hooked. The later episodes really did them a disservice and I don't think a reboot would be the same without them, especially given DD and GA's contributions to writing the show. Also, a diverse cast is fine and all but nobody takes forced inclusivity seriously. I'm not sure if it's true but I read somewhere that GA said she'd consider returning if the writers were fired, and I don't blame her. They may have done some irreparable damage to the series and characters and therefore fan base by adding information that (I for one and many other fans don't believe because certain characters have proven to be untrustworthy sources of information) serves no purpose other than to just stir the pot and make the characters suffer for no good reason. It seems there was never a resolution to some of the issues, several things never got addressed, and as much as I loved a majority of the show I don't know if it's possible to reboot it without doing further damage. The best we could hope for is for it to focus on William and have Mulder and Scully and their baby make a few appearances. Thanks a lot CC

Been saying this for years! I even have a petition of some new ideas to implement to improve it so it wouldn't be just a carbon copy with better graphics and voice overs. SOOOOO many ideas and so much potential!!!
