See AllI Hope Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's Coolest Feature Doesn't Become A Trend
Andy Serkis is already established as a motion capture actor, so it wasn't any different from his role in here.
The fact a "big screen" actor plays Gustave is also a good thing and helps sell a plot point.
And maybe I'm biased but I've seen a lot more hype about Ben Starr and Jennifer English. Both are HUGE names in the gaming world, especially Starr.
I'm all for leaving the voice acting to the voice actors, but Cox did an amazing job as Gustave, so it's not a problem.
I also doubt the studio requested him specifically either.
There Aren't Many 10/10 Anime Series, But We've Found at Least 10 You Should Watch
I wish people would understand that
1. Tastes are subjective
2. The fact you didn't like something doesn't mean it's bad
3. Determining what makes an anime a 10/10 isn't a universal hard-coded scientific process, so of course it will always differ.

Markymark I've picked up One Piece at 31 years old and love it.
The story is good, the world building is phenomenal and the characters are amazing.
It does have pacing issues, but I don't really hold it against itself. I understand the context of making a weekly anime based on a weekly manga and understand that it's a result of it.
The anime industry's working conditions are horrible and I won't hold a anime's responsible for the consequences that comes from it.
There Aren't Many 10/10 Anime Series, But We've Found at Least 10 You Should Watch
The last season was my personal favourite! I understand it's not for everyone, but it was right up my alley.
And I liked the ending - not the IDEAL ending, but I do love a bitter ending where no one wins. And AoT delivers on it superbly.
How To Train Your Dragon Director Responds To Astrid Live-Action Casting Backlash: "We're Crafting A Fantasy, Not Historical Fact"
Everyone in the comments focusing on the "historical vs realistic" are really proving a point that they are arguing in bad faith.
That wasn't his actual reason for casting, his reason was that she was just the best actress to audition. Which is 100% what this kind of thing should be about.
