The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Kenji Kamiyama returned to direct the current anime project. I would like to see the anime director direct more anime projects that might catch my fancy. It's been a long time since we've seen hand-drawn animation in a US theater. Even adapting from the Ballad of Helm Hammerhand has piqued my interest. Furthermore, the character design appears to be of high quality, making the trailer appealing. It was very uplifting, but the film left me wanting more detailed information. The story does not align with the filmmaker’s vision.
The film's small budget is the main issue, along with a rushed production timeframe. This would explain why the backgrounds and animation appear choppy. I also believe the project used generative AI, which could explain its unpredictable pace. For example, unnecessary narrative is a distraction. Furthermore, Hera's prominent Mary Sue status jeopardizes the franchise's credibility. The film could’ve done better.

Beyblade X
As much as I love beyblade, I find Beyblade X extremely boring with Jaxon winning all the time and Robin losing all the time, it gets rather tedious.

Pokémon Horizons
As I promised, I held off from doing any review until the 75th episode. As always, Pokémon Horizons never cease to disappoint me. Even after the Terastal Debut arc, I feel that Roy and Dot stood a better chance than Liko to begin with. Roy’s battle against Liko truly clinches the point that Liko cannot be truly be a protagonist unless the following as it goes to with trying to be toe to toe with Ash. For example, she’s so slow that she’s unable to beat Ash’s record for the number of Pokémon caught within the 1st 13 episodes, 6 pokemon, and she’s unable to catch 1. Another example is where Ash tends to win and lose in battles, especially official ones. Liko, on the other hand keeps losing and/or forfeiting official Pokémon battles. She even lost to Roy in her official Pokémon battles. Apparently, she has no qualifications and credentials as a Pokémon trainer after all.
As I would dive deeper into the 4th arc, I would make my case and point as soon as possible. I also apologize in advance for any spoilers.
Deep Dive for the 4th Opening- Only One Story
Only One Story is one of the Anime Openings that I felt is better off in Ash Ketchum’s return, not another sad attempt to have Liko look likable. For the music, it has a real sense of an exciting adventure just like Halo by Yama x Botchiboromaru. However, it just made another sad attempt to bring in the female audience just like how Will by IVE attempted with its attempt bring a different type of audience than the typical target audience for Pokémon.
Unlike Ash Ketchum, Liko has added another mark of her being unlikable with her just ruin the sense adventure with her asking what Rakua is like. Based on the look of it, Pokémon Horizons wound up being short lived and it all Liko’s fault.
