The House of the Devil
The more I watch The House Of The Devil, the more I love it.
My absolute favorite Ti West flick.

Brightburn
I won't lie, I kinda avoided this movie because all I did was hear bad things...
When will I learn to stop listening to the internet?
This was a great flick! Dark, creepy, when it did gore it was GORY!
Loved it, totally adding it into my regular rotation.

The Strangers: Chapter 1
Saw Richard Brake and got excited...
that was the extent of my excitement.

In a Violent Nature
Oh man! That was so good!
Slow, methodical, and then just PURE GORE!
I've seen people complaining about the "amateur" acting (and it wasn't even as bad as most people say) but for me, it just added to the overall ambience. Like... this is living an 80s slasher flick right alongside the killer. So well done!
Highly Recommended!

M3GAN
Meh-gan
I enjoyed it for what it was BUT one thing that stuck out to me was my 11-year-old daughter... she woke up and saw that I had the movie on and was like "Did you know there are two actresses that play the doll"
I said, "that makes sense... a voice actor and a physical actor."
She said "I think that's cool... can you watch it and tell me if you think I can watch it, or maybe tell me the scary parts so I can look away"
Never once did I talk about this movie to her... so that means it made rounds at her school, which made me think about my childhood. I hearing about Chucky when I was a kid, not actually seeing the movie, but just KNOWING who Chucky was. This kinda gave me the same vibes... but it's obviously for the modern era.
Now, as an adult my opinion on Chucky is that they're not good movies... but they ARE good concepts... and they infected my young mind... which is exactly what M3gan is doing to my kiddo.
...it's the perfect gateway to horror for the young... and I'm all for it!
