The new prequel is extremely disappointing, it goes against so much canon. mufasa and taka are brothers, Ahadi(dad) favorited mufasa over taka and thats what sparked the jealousy. in the book A Tale of Two Brothers it is explained how scar got his scar and why he changed his name to that moment. scar is not kovus father, as stated by nuka, “scars not even his father, he just took him in” and kovu doesnt have to be scars son just because he was chosen by scar. the story was fine as is. it was my childhood and im extremely disappointed in disney and their handling of the lion king franchise. the mention of kiaras story possibly being completely different was like they just killed my childhood.
