See AllExclusive Superman Image Reveals New Look At David Corenswet's Man Of Steel, Krypto And Robots Inside The Fortress Of Solitude
Oddly enough, the more I learn about this movie, the less I want to watch it….
and I really want to watch a good Superman movie.
Between that first weird picture where the world is about to be sent into oblivion while Superman in his baggy suit contemplates gravely the reasons his life sucks….
and the new leaks which are apparently true regarding part of the scenario: Superman fights online harassment sent by Lex Luther via an army of monkeys… ugh …
and the promotion … every time we are to be reminded that it’s James Gunn handling that project, JG is such a talented guy, JG is such a nice guy, JG is such a treat to work with… it’s insane how much the guy loves to promote himself…
Disney's Live-Action Snow White Is Still $15 Million Away From A Box Office Milestone It Should've Easily Beaten
I don’t really know whether SR writers are just not good at their job or dishonest:
270M budget reported in December 2023, that’s almost a year and a half ago.. and that probably already includes tax break.
Now add: promotion, reported at a 100M, we know this is a low number and since the promotion of that thing has been littered with PR moves to rehabilitate a certain actress’s image, it should also be higher.
But let’s believe Disney (haha): 270+100 =370.
The movie makes 200M at the end of its run by some miracle, Disney takes 100.
result: the movie lost 270M at a bare minimum.
Also: if you want your movie comparisons to make any sense at all, those numbers need to be adjusted for inflation.…
If you are a journalist, shouldn’t you offer information that teaches something instead of repeating numbers/declarations
Rachel Zegler's Snow White Remake Lands On Major Top 40 Highest-Grossing Charts Despite Controversies & Poor Box Office
This article will definitely be in the top 40 when the Cope Awards come to be.
Comparing Snow White to a movie nobody cared about (Mean girls) and a movie that made 73M … in 1964!
By the way: adjusted for inflation, that’s 750M nowadays…. Not even in the same realm.
“Nero Fiddling While Rome Burns”: Stephen King Doubles Down On 2025 Oscars Cancellation Call After Hearing From Ceremony ers
Seems hypocritical to me …. But what do I know ? Hollywood stars are such paragons of virtue.
Now maybe once people like S.King have finished giving themselves a pat on the back they will realise that what little influence and goodwill they have left can be used to raise money. They may even realise that there is still quite the economy relying on that event to make a living.
After all, a lot of people now find themselves homeless and won’t be able to recover in a while… why add to an already difficult situation….
It may seem acrimonious but I do not think for a second that the Hollywood ecosystem does anything which is not self-serving.
Netflix’s New Witcher Movie Makes Henry Cavill’s Geralt Recast Even More Disappointing
You … are joking, right?
The reason he “abandoned “ the Witcher series is already well known.
As a fan of the books, he wanted to keep it faithful to the original and the show runners did not.
You cannot tell me you could not see the series veering off course in a very obvious way and the directors making no secret of the fact that they did not respect (in every sense of the term) the source material.
That “The Witcher: Blood origin” was the culmination of all of that.
Did Marvel Just Confirm Two More Of The MCU's Young Avengers?
I’ve said this before: this is very likely to bomb.
a small minority of people are genuinely interested in those characters.
They have, so far, created close to no discussion whatsoever.
The most likeable character, played by Iman Vellani, was met with apathy despite the charming personality of the actress herself.
Some like Cassie Lang are seen as dislikeable or even insufferable.
Marvel would have to make those interesting first before deciding to gather them.
The previous Avengers had their solo stories, well written, which made the viewer excited to see what would come from that assembly…
None of this is present here…
