Very upset to have read this news regarding his departure from the witcher series. Noting against Liam Hemsworth, but for me the main character can't be replaced so easily as the show isn't anymore the same with no sense of continuity. Dont know the reason of the recast but Cavill was perfect for the role and played it wonderfully. It will be hard for fans to accept a new Gerald, if not impossible. At least for me The Witcher series ended at the 3 seson.
