Not to nitpick, but they didn't have badge communicators in Kirk's time. It was a 'flip phone' communicator. (still would be findable, but what fun is that? 'whoops, out of time in the episode, gotta go!' lol)

You negated your own premise. Your very thoughts that they would never even get stranded (what YOU strangely said made it teach us all sorts of things the other series couldn't... yet you didn't tell us one blasted one) so everything thing would be different, including the characters, means it wouldn't be Voyager! It's be Spaceship X. Heck it wouldn't even be Trek at that point, you could just call it Babylon 6 or Orville 24.That's not how the Kelvin line works. They didn't have Capt Smith leading the USS NoName, it HAD to be Kirk eventually leading the Enterprise. Just reimagined, not ignored. Dumb idea.

I HAD the app on my Roku Express! It now comes up as 'this channel is no longer available'. This article probably got them enough notice to be shut down for illegal s! I got to it for another 'forgotten' movie. Forgotten doesn't mean no copyright! Lol

There's was nothing else to watch! I watched it BECAUSE it was supposed to be so bad. The key to a decent Trek movie is will you watch it again... NO. It s Nemesis and Insurrection as ones I would never watch again, even if I already stumbled upon them already playing on a channel. 'Keep on clicking...' Along with the poor story and acting, (except for Michelle) it was filmed so literally dark, I couldn't see what was going on until I switched to my new 4K TV. What a waste.
