The producers of the show look for what is profitable sometimes instead of what people like. For the most part it is wholesome and somewhat clean and let's face it head on, there are very little families can sit and watch these shows with not having to send their kids to their bedroom because of inappropriate and unsuitable material. Think about that for awhile..

I still like the show. I hope she changes her mind and comes back. Maybe she will and no one is talking. It makes people come back for more. The ending left us hanging that is the first clue.

Blue Bloods is one of those shows that a family can sit down and watch together and not worry about nudity or inappropriate scenes that you would have to send your kids to their rooms because of so much bleeping. It has all the elements of wholesome entertainment. I like the family and faith layers about it. Justice does not always prevail instead reality is sprinkled all the way through it. These characters have proved themselves over and over and have stayed the course. I would reward them with another season and go from there.
