I think this has been more the ruler mill at work, than Ridley actually saying or voicing an interest in the TV series than anything.

It was the same when the original movies were coming out there was loads of rumors going about who was getting cast as who in the big rules and a number of actors when asked "are you taking this role?" turned around and said no and when asked why so long turned around and said because the not been asked and they had no interest.

I liked the film, but had to ignore one of the facts I know about lions and that is they are colour blind and wouldn't be able to tell if a lion was tawny or white.

I think with a TV series, they could slip in a few memory flash backs to cover the stuff from The Magicians Nephew. Which will help explain Narnia, who the Professor is, where the wardrobe came from and the lamppost being in Narnia.

The real struggle will be tying in The Horse and His Boy as it goes some way to explaining the set up for Prince Caspian.

I just wondered how far they are going to take the series as The Last Battle is going to be a tricky one to cover.

I can't see a recast and film working to be honest as there are too many obstacles in the way to make it work. There is no way they could ever recreate the character and actor dynamics of the series. And as for the the fan pick for a recasting there are only three out of this ten that I could see stepping into the rules. Best thing that can be done is to leave DS9 alone.
