Sounds like desperation. As if, after driving SW into the ground, they said ‘What is left that anyone likes’? And came up with Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, and then added proven sci-fi star Sigourney for insurance. It has a chance. After 2 years SW fans may forgive how Disney insulted and slandered them. The Rey movie would be a sure flop no matter how long the wait was.

Non Disney SW

Matrix

Alien

Original Star Trek

And countless others in between. All had strong female characters or diverse casts, or both.

Enough with the slander of day to day fans and worthless excuse for awful productions. That is the real toxicity.
