I'm quite surprised that some people are somehow confused or disappointed by the ending. In both the 1922 & 1979 versions, the female lead sacrifices herself to destroy the vampire. These adaptations of "Dracula" strip away the romanticism of the original novel and portray the vampire as a truly evil monster.

The games are not canon to the books. Geralt DIES in the books. The games are a non-canon sequel series. Ciri could be a magical potato in the games, and it wouldn't matter. As for the people whining about Geralt not being the main character? Did you play the Blood & Wine expansion? He retired at the end of the game. It's a perfect way to wrap up his story in the games.
All I care about is fun gameplay and a compelling story. Everything else that people are complaining about is just noise. Get over it.
