I like it the thought. But it's Gandalf. In fact I think Noori ans Stoor kind of indicated that...."is he a Grand Elf?" which will imply where he finds his name. Also "we will go this way, the air seems sweeter this way" that's a line used in fellowship. It's Gandalf.
