See AllAre you still upset about Henry Cavill's The Witcher recast?
WE haven't seen Liam in the role yet other than that obscured trailer, so let's not bite into the all hype of this recast and wait a little. The trouble is, the wait kinda stretched too long - when was the S03 being aired last time?
The fun fact is that there is always someone named Liam when they recast a leading character role, and again, it's an Aussie. Anybody re Spartacus? when the title role went to Liam McIntyre? Arguably the reasons for THAT recast were far more tragic - the lead actor's succumbing to terminal illness - the wonderful Andy Withfield - but the beloved show was brought to a successful conclusion.
Perhaps similarly, The Witcher has enough of the same clout and fans will embrace Hemsworth. Perhaps the show will end after only the completion of the next fourth season, but I'd think that would be due to poor execution of the whole script-plot-visuals-direction cluster of things, and not necesarily Hemsworth's alone.
I'm Convinced Altered Carbon Season 3 Would Have Happened If Not For This Book Change
Poe in season 2 was arguably a bit forced in, but what came as a surprise when I watched the second season is that it was as equally good as the first. For sure S01 did have some richer visuals and more subplots, it was more within a detective neo-noir cyber punk realm. On the other hand S02 brought in more on the origins of Harlan's World and expanded on the fate of Falconer.
Poe's storyline brought a bit of a pathos to the overall action of the show but well executed, nothing too excessive.
I love the final scene in the last episode with the 2 AIs - who knows what S03 would go from there if it followed that thread.
Overall, much better than what I expected at first.
In respect to the books it's based upon, the series is better viewed if not compared to the source material.
How I Met Your Father Season 3: Cancelation, Story & Everything We Know
the controversy following the last season of HIMYM and its lazy fan-rebuked ending made it impossible for the audience to take that same bait again with any subsequent iteration of the show.
Although Craig Thomas and Carter Bays (the creators and showrunners of HIMYM) had less of a creative involvement this time around, their insistence to wrap up HIMYM the way it did, caused unrepairable damage. It's why the first spin off pitch failed (How I Met Your Dad) and even though HIMYF had its fun moments and the comedy bits improved significantly in its second season, the viewership still ed the original run that ended disastrously and therefore could never get fully on board with this 'revival'.
I Want Strange New Worlds To Break Star Trek Canon & Save Captain Pike
I believe this echoed everything that I had in mind to put as a comment.
A Strange New Worlds Crossover With Scott Bakula’s Enterprise Captain Is Possible
if the concept for Star Trek: Section 31 as initally conceived came to fruition, that would work; the Temporal Wars were supposed to be the major plot point in it, and given the speculation that the shady figure "The Future Guy" appearing in Enterprise was no other but future Archer, there was a great chance to see his character show up at some point.
Sadly, Section 31 ended up with a subpar one-off movie and it's unlikely that we'd see more of that. Would have been great, though.

Ok, but who would like to see HIM in SNW?
