It's like this show runner and writing staff literally read one book, write a story, changing what they want, then rince and repeat. They have ZERO respect for future plot lines. And justifying it by saying they have to shorten it for TV is ridiculous. How about not inventing unnecessary side stories so you have the time for the original source materials...
