I want to thank you for everything you’ve unknowingly done for me. You saved my life. I could slip into your world and I wasn’t being bullied or beat up in junior high and high school.

By the way, I have read almost everything you published and I managed not to shoot anyone. I learned how to stand up for myself but I never thought about hurting others so the “bs” about your books being the cause of mass shooting in schools.

Stephen King literally saved my life. I was brutally bullied as a child. The only thing I could count on was his books. His daughter and I are the same age so some of his books were way too mature for me but I ate them like mana from Heaven. I didn’t shoot anyone because of his writing. He took my out of my miserable childhood and gave me a gift. To be Carrie, fighting the bullies, to be in the car with Cujo outside, to be there in Salems Lot.
