Needless, pointless decisions like this are what causes movies like this to fail. Regardless of the fantasy they are trying to build, they shouldn't make a live action *re-make* and change parts of the characters. They have tried and failed every time. This will fail and I hope it does. If you want to change race, make a new series or use new characters.
